Cole Schirk is a graduate of the University of Ottawa, where he obtained his Juris Doctor law degree. At the University of Ottawa, Mr. Schirk concentrated his studies on criminal law and courtroom advocacy. After completing his studies, Mr. Schirk articled with Schofield Macchia, where he gained valuable hands-on experience conducting pre-trial motions, trials, sentencing and other hearings alongside Ms. Schofield and Ms. Macchia.
Mr. Schirk has demonstrated a commitment to justice for his clients in a broad range of criminal and regulatory offences. His practice has focused on drug and gun possession related offences with an emphasis on Charter-litigation.
Mr. Schirk takes a critical approach to exploring issues in complex cases, including cases with multiple search warrants, police traffic stops and other warrantless searches and seizures of property.
